Russell DiSilvestro, PhD
Biomedical Ethics and Christian Apologetics in Dialogue”
Are you ready to explore these questions together?
How should my Christian knowledge best inform the way I think and talk about the moral dimensions of medicine and biology?
What roles, if any, can biomedical ethics play within Christian apologetics, and Christian apologetics within biomedical ethics?
How might Christian apologetics intersect with various “big principles” in biomedical ethics—like respect for autonomy, nonmaleficence, beneficence, and justice?
How might Christian apologetics interact with various “hot issues” in biomedical ethics—like euthanasia, abortion, and genetic engineering?
Dr. DiSilvestro currently is on staff at Sacramento State as an Associate Professor and is the Director of Center for Practical and Professional Ethics.
He has several featured articles and is the author of the book, Human Capacities and Moral Status.
