Resolving the Conflict Between Faith and Knowledge
Our chapter has the recently released Kick-off night DVD for the Faith and Knowledge Conference that occurred in October 2011 at Biola’s campus.
We will watch Session #1 entitled – Why Moral and Spiritual Knowledge are Indispensable to Life and Action.
Dallas Willard engages with secular accusations that Christianity is not a viable source of knowledge. He states that moral knowledge is quickly disappearing from institutions of education, but at great cost, for moral and spiritual knowledge are indispensable for holistic life and action. Expertly engaging with Scripture and modern philosophy, Willard explains how to integration one’s actions and biblical worldview to form a cohesive apologetic that can opposed the challenges of philosophical naturalism and postmodernism not to “defeat” non-Christians, but to provide answers to sincere, life-hindering questions.
